Understanding Credits
Credits are the currency for running on-demand security scans in WebVault Pro. Each website you add receives its own credit allocation based on your subscription tier.
- Per-Website Credits - Each website has its own separate credit balance
- 1 Credit = 1 Scan - Each security scan consumes one credit
- Automatic Renewal - Paid plans renew credits automatically on a schedule

Basic monitoring features like uptime checks and domain health are included at no additional credit cost.

Pro Tip
Credits renew based on when each website was added, not your billing date. Check the credit badge on each website to see when renewal is due.
Viewing Your Credits
You can see your credit balance in several places:
- Credit Badge - Displayed on each website's scan tab showing available credits
- Scan Button - Shows if you have credits available before running a scan
- Dashboard Overview - See total credit usage across all websites
Managing Your Subscription
You can manage your subscription at any time from your account settings.
- Upgrade to a higher tier for more credits and faster renewal
- Downgrade at the end of your current billing period
- View billing history and download invoices
- Update payment methods

Note
When you upgrade, your new credit allocation takes effect immediately. When you downgrade, changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
